What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

The Cleaning Lab keeps a card on file. A temporary hold is placed on your card 48 hours before your scheduled clean, and payment is only captured once the clean is completed and signed off. Commercial accounts can be invoiced monthly with ACH terms.
Payment with The Cleaning Lab is designed to be invisible — no cash envelopes, no chasing invoices, no awkward end-of-clean transactions.
How residential payment works
We keep a card securely on file for your account. Here's the timeline for every visit:
- 48 hours before your clean, a temporary hold is placed on your card for the quoted amount.
- Your team completes the clean and it's signed off against the written scope of work.
- Only then is payment captured. If a clean doesn't happen, the hold is released — you're never charged for work that wasn't done.
This protects both sides: your appointment is confirmed and guaranteed, and you only ever pay for completed, signed-off work.
Commercial accounts
Businesses and property managers can be set up on monthly invoicing with ACH terms, which keeps accounting simple across multiple visits or multiple locations. Terms are agreed in your service contract during onboarding — see our commercial cleaning page for how those programs work.
What we don't take
We don't accept cash or checks at the door, and our teams never handle payment in person. Everything runs through your account, so there's a clean record of every visit and every charge.
