What Does the Onboarding Process Look Like?

Onboarding with The Cleaning Lab is three steps: a quick conversation about your space, a written scope of work with a flat price, and your first scheduled clean — usually within a week. Everything is confirmed in writing before your team arrives, so there are no surprises.
Starting with a new cleaning company shouldn't feel like a leap of faith. Our onboarding is built to remove every unknown before a single cloth touches a counter.
Step 1 — A quick conversation
We start with a short call or message exchange about your space: size, layout, how it's currently maintained, what matters most to you, and any problem areas. For commercial spaces, this can include a brief walkthrough.
Step 2 — A written scope of work
You receive a written scope of work listing exactly what will be cleaned, how, and at what flat price. Nothing is left to interpretation — if it's in the scope, it happens every visit; if you want something added or removed, we adjust the document before you commit.
Step 3 — Your first clean
Your first visit is scheduled — usually within the same week for standard cleans. For most new residential clients, that first visit is a Detailed Reset that brings the whole home to baseline, after which recurring visits keep it there.
After the first visit
We check in after your first clean, fine-tune anything that needs it, and lock in your recurring schedule if you're continuing. Your scope of work stays on file and can be adjusted any time.
