What's Included in a Deep Cleaning?

A deep cleaning covers everything in a standard clean plus the buildup a maintenance visit doesn't reach — baseboards, door frames, vents, light fixtures, cabinet fronts, appliance exteriors and interiors on request, grout detail, and window sills. At The Cleaning Lab, this service is called the Detailed Reset.
"Deep cleaning" is the most misused phrase in this industry — some companies mean an extra fifteen minutes, some mean a genuinely different service. Here's exactly what it means when we say it.
Deep clean vs. standard clean
A standard clean maintains a home that's already at baseline: surfaces, floors, kitchens, bathrooms, high-touch disinfection. A deep clean — our Detailed Reset — is what brings a home to that baseline. It addresses the accumulation that builds slowly and invisibly: the dust film on baseboards, the grease layer above the stove, the mineral buildup in grout lines. One maintains; the other resets.
Room by room: what the Detailed Reset includes
Everywhere — everything in a standard cleaning, plus baseboards, door frames, doors, and trim hand-wiped; vents, ceiling fans, and light fixtures dusted and wiped within reach; switch plates, handles, and hardware detailed; window sills and tracks cleaned; under and behind furniture where safely movable.
Kitchen — cabinet fronts degreased and polished, backsplash detailed, appliance exteriors polished (stainless done with the grain), range hood degreased, sink descaled. Oven and refrigerator interiors on request — tell us when booking so the time is planned in.
Bathrooms — full sanitization plus tile and grout detail, shower glass and fixtures descaled (a real project against Las Vegas hard water), exhaust vent dusted, cabinet fronts wiped.
Bedrooms and living areas — furniture dusted top to bottom including legs and bases, decor and ledges detailed, closet shelving wiped where accessible, floors edge-to-edge.
When a deep clean is the right call
- First visit with a new cleaning company — most of our recurring clients start here, then maintain with a recurring Signature Refresh
- Seasonal reset — especially after a Vegas summer of fine desert dust
- Before hosting — holidays, guests, events
- After a renovation — though heavy construction dust needs a true post-construction clean
- Any home that's gone a few months without professional care
How long it takes and what it costs
Expect a deep clean to run two to three times longer than a standard visit, and typically 1.5–2.5× the price — full ranges in our Las Vegas pricing guide. Like everything we do, it's quoted flat-rate in writing before we start: get your quote or call (725) 765-2233.
